Meet Dr. Ananth

Dr. Amy Ananth is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in the treatment of a broad range of skin conditions such as acne, rashes, eczema, and psoriasis.  She is skilled in the recognition and treatment of skin cancers.  She also has extensive training in cosmetic procedures including botulinum toxin (Botox), dermal fillers, sclerotherapy, lasers, and other devices.

Dr. Ananth grew up along the Gulf Coast in Mobile, Pensacola, and New Orleans.  She attended college at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, where she was the valedictorian of her class.  She received her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.  She completed her residency in dermatology at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, where she was selected as Chief Resident during her final year.  She was awarded the Peterkin Award for best resident research project by the Louisiana Dermatological Society.  Before moving to Baldwin County with her family, she was in private practice in Mandeville, LA, for 6 years.  Dr. Ananth is the author of multiple scientific publications and has lectured on topics including skin cancer, sun protection, chemical peels, and medical education.
